I’m a bit under the weather these last few days, so short post today. Apologise in advance for what promises to be a spotty week, post-wise.
Weird thing: I was reading a book today (this isn’t the weird part) and I realised that whenever I see the word “balaclava”, I pronounce it “baklava”.
I must be more pie obsessed than I realised.*

*Shut up. I know baklava isn’t pie.
Tut. Tut. After all those years at Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility’s School for Ladies you say “shut up.” Oh, me, oh, my.
Dear bitter ones, you must all overlook these outbursts. Over here in the Colonies, we admire manners above all with the possible exception of strenuous gentility.
Feel better soon — keep your balaclava pulled down — and good luck with the pie!
Mom
Hope you’re feeling better soon.
um…I had to read this post two times before I understood that it WASN’T baklava….
clearly i join you in the obsession….
hope you feel better soon!
Dear god.
Baked goods would be one of my “guilty pleasures”…
Just make sure you get it right when you either eat some or wear some.
haha, wunderfull. Humor runs in the familiy.
now try to make baklava it’ll throw you over the edge mentally!
Too late, methinks!
Thanks for all the well-wishing, everyone! I’m feeling much better today!
