Ka-Nit

I promised Kate that I would post a picture of my latest knitting project. She helped me early this summer get started knitting again. I hadn’t really done it in, well, decades! (Damn, I’m old.)

I think it’s going to take me for-freaking-ever to finish, but in the meantime it keeps me warm as I go. My only complaint really is that the needles (aluminium) get heavy as I get all of those worsted-weight stitches on one side!

This (pictured below) is just the yoke and the back of it… there will, of course, be a front, long sleeves, and a collar thing that goes over the yoke. Here’s the patterns which shows what it’s SUPPOSED to look like. Who the heck knows if that’s anything close to what it will look like when I’m done! We’ll find out.. about 5 years from now when I finish it!

  1. That is GORGEOUS. Small wonder it took a while to knit. Update us as you go along.

Hmmm…the thing its laying on looks suspiciously like the back of a quilt. Don’t tell us you quilt, as well as knitting beautifully, and being a freelance writer.
