I agree with deniz that the solid black appears to be an apron -- if it is a dress beneath a purple cloak, some sort of adjustment seems needed. You're way ahead of my experience, so I'm no help. Just like writing, eh? :-) I think she's adorable! If you really want suggestions, I would say maybe add a few rows of purple directly above the solid black of her apron, to make the gorgeous criss cross at the top of her apron stand out even more.
