India on the Onion
Today just some quick news:
An interview! Find out some truly strange things about me over at Virtual Onion today! What would I tell aliens about my book? What if I were trapped in an elevator with a cupcake? Do my cats really have mind control powers? Yes, the answers to this and other pressing questions in a hilarious author interview with Ms. Onion.
Writing Update: I’ve finished the first batch of edits on Ordinary Angels. I ended up removing about 2000 words… one at a time. YIKES! So, anyway, the process is running along and we’re ahead of schedule. Yay!
Question for You! How do you manage all the things you need to do? I tried a todo list on the website todoist.com, but found it didn’t help me keep track of things in progress very well. I’ve used various Word or Excel templates in the past, but I’d like something flexible. Do you know of a good time management website or program, preferrably something not too expensive (or better yet, free!)

Off now to check it out!
I figure you wrestle the cupcake to the elevator floor, but I’ll hop over to see.
Sometimes I make lists, especially when the number of things I need to do is overwhelming and I keep forgetting important tasks.
I try to do a little bit of work on everything everyday and chip away at it.
Also, I keep a calender and schedule it in.
congrats on finishing your edits!
I use my iPod touch to help schedule, but mostly I just do what comes next.

I write down some things, most I just keep in my head.

Loved the interview!! I hope that if you ever get stuck in a lift – it will be with a yummy cupcake!
Good luck with your editing! Sorry I don’t know any time management website or software. We have an e-calendar at work as part of email – all we do is put in meetings etc in advance on the calendar and a great big alarm clock thingy pops up nearer the time as a reminder. It’s annoying after a while though because it’s constant unless whoever set it up deletes their entry!
I don’t know if that’s the kind of thing you’re looking for?
Take care

I used to use an online organiser service called Sandy but then they shut it down… most of the users went over to something called Remember the Milk which does the same job of sending you reminders and so on. Getting it up and running is a bit of a learning curve though.
If it’s just for reminding you of upcoming deadlines etc have you tried google calendar?
About the onion: dice it, add 2 diced tomatoes, half an English cuke, sprinkle 2 oz white sugar, half cup water, half cup apple-cider vinegar. Marinate overnight. Serves 4
Congratulations on getting stranded in a lift with a cupcake. Here’s where carrying a pint of milk in your satchel really comes in handy.
Love you. Mean it.

Oops. Dice the half Cuke, as well.

Congratulations on your interview!

I’m afraid I’m not help with organizing cos I take all the free notepads I get from various charities that are soliciting donations, write to do lists all over them, and never cross every item off, so that I have to do lists on my desk, in my purses, beside the bed, everywhere…

I’m a little old-fashioned and just write everything down on a notepad and tick it off as I go along.
