This time of year, I become acutely aware of poverty around the world. I don’t know why. Well, it turns out the radiation thing was a complete disappointment! Not only did the whole thing make me woozy, but I did NOT get the superpowers I’ve been waiting for. I had my heart set on invisibility, but would have accepted telekinesis, telepathy, or any “tele” as long as it didn’t mean constantly getting Living... 
Today is a day I’ve looked forward to for 20 years. I always thought that 40 was when you finally became a real adult. In my twenties I felt like an imposter and feared that at any moment someone would figure out that I was only passing as a grown-up. Things started to click into place for me in my 30’s, but that was the decade during which I came face to face with and also learned to embrace... 
The existence of words with negative prefixes and no positive opposites bothers me. For example you can be inscrutable, but not scrutable, inept but not ept, nonplussed but not plussed, feckless but not fecked (unless you’re Irish), dishevelled, but not shevelled, and so on.
What bothers me about this is you can be negative with no positive opposite, but not positive with no negative opposite....

I ran across Eternal Earth Bound Pets and my first reaction was to laugh inappropriately, thinking the site to be a spoof or an anti-religion statement, but I have to admit, the site seems so darned earnest and their offer sincere, it’s impossible to wrap my head around their motives.

I’ve just imported all of my blog posts from my Nixy Valentine blog. For those of you who don’t know, I’ve started writing under that name about a year ago. My reason for using a pen name was partly because I was writing adult material, including erotica.

Good grief. I have just spent two days importing and editing posts from my old Bitter Women blog. I deleted ones that weren’t by me and ones that weren’t funny. (Sorry, I do try, but sometimes miss the mark.)
