It’s always a bit awkward, coming back from a hiatus. How do I explain? I’d nearly always rather be working than not, and I realize this pressure to feel like I’m constantly producing more comes from me and no one else.
However, sometimes needs must, and family and their (and my own) well-being always come first. It’s a balance I’ve only recently (and by that I mean in the past 10 years) learned to keep in its proper place and with the proper perspective.
So, I’m back from a brief break and digging into edits for Daughers of Misfortune. One positive thing (perhaps one of many) about a break is the perspective it brings. This book is good, and only some distance from it really helped me see that. I’m that much more excited to see where this book takes me!
